Myosoton aquaticum (L.) Moench.

Flora Europaea the original Linnean specimens classified as Cerastium aquaticum L. hygophyle species, Palearctic perennial, H, Alno-Padion, Senecion fluviatilis, Bidention, Populetalia         A common species in hygrophyle tall vegetation and riparian forests. Be attentive, it is very frequently mistaken for Stellaria nemorum L. (see here) which looks very similar (especially when the phytocenoses of Stellario nemori - Alnetum are identified). The latter species has 3 styles (Myosoton aquaticum has 5 rarely 4) and the petals are much longer and thinner. Near Muntele Sacelului, Cluj county, August 2009. dr.
